Zhong Su, Ph.D. AI Scientist, Alibaba DAMO Academy. With over two decades of pioneering research in artificial intelligence, Dr. Zhong Su has built a distinguished career spanning industry leadership and academic excellence. He currently serves as an AI Scientist at Alibaba DAMO Academy, following his tenure as Head of the Future Technology Center at Alibaba Research, where he steered the group’s technical strategic research. Previously, Dr. Su was the Head of AI at IBM Research – China, leading breakthroughs in natural language processing, speech technologies, and machine learning. In 2018, he was elected a Member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
Complementing his industry impact, Dr. Su is a Guest Professor at Nankai University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has authored over 100 papers in premier international venues with 10,000+ citations and holds over 100 patents. His accolades include the 2020 ACM SIGKDD Test of Time Award and multiple IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards. He currently serves as an Executive Committee Member of the China Computer Federation Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Su holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.

苏中在人工智能领域深耕二十余年，现任阿里巴巴达摩院资深技术专家，同时担任RISC-V国际基金会技术委员会委员、AME矩阵扩展指令工作组主席。此前曾任知合计算AI首席科学家、阿里研究院未来技术中心负责人，IBM中国研究院大数据及人工智能研究方向负责人。在IBM任职期间，当选IBM全球技术委员会委员、大中华区技术专家委员会主席。曾经兼任南开大学兼职教授与上海交通大学计算机系客座教授。拥有发明专利100余项，在国际顶级会议及期刊发表学术论文百余篇，谷歌学术引用超过10,000次，荣获2020年ACM SIGKDD时间检验奖（Test of Time Award）、多次IBM全球技术成就奖，并两次获得IBM全球杰出技术成就奖。现担任中国计算机学会人工智能专委会常务委员、中国中文信息学会理事。苏中毕业于清华大学计算机系，获工学博士学位。
