Prof. Zhiang Wang

Zhiang Wang is an Assistant Professor at Fudan University. His research interests focus on electronic design automation (EDA). He is actively engaged in the research and development of OpenROAD, an open-source, end-to-end physical design platform. He received his B.S. degree in Applied Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2019 and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California San Diego in 2024. He has published or had accepted more than 30 papers in leading journals and international conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (TCAD) and the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD). His honors include the ICCAD 2022 Best Paper Award, the MLCAD 2025 Best Paper Award, an ACM TODAES Research Highlight, the MLCAD 2025 Best Artifact Award, and first place in the MLCAD Contest 2025. He currently serves as a member of the IEEE CEDA Design Automation Technical Committee (DATC). He has served on the technical program committees of major international conferences, including DAC, ICCAD, DATE and ASP-DAC, and as a reviewer for journals including IEEE TCAD and ACM TODAES.
