"Cheolkyu Kim", Ph.D has been the Sr. director of Applications in Onto Innovation since 2020. His main responsibility includes development of new applications and technical solutions for customers’ high value problems using inspection and PULSETM technologies.
Prior to joining Onto (or Rudolph before the merger with Nanometrics), "Kim" was a postdoctoral research associate in the Physic Department of Brown University. During his 3 years in Brown University, “Kim” spent time doing researches about magnetically levitated superfluid liquid helium.
"Kim" received a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, Rhode Island, US, and a Master’s degree in Physics Education from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. His research results had been published in various scientific journals.
