个人简介 / Biography

Mr. Danny Perng is an EDA veteran with an impressive track record of success. Danny joined Mentor Graphics (now Siemens EDA) in October of 1988 as a software engineer in Mentor's headquarter located in Oregon, and later became a member of the Corporate Architect Council representing the IC Division. Danny returned to Chinese Taiwan in 1996 and became PacRim Regional Business Development Director for IC design and IP products. He successfully established Calibre's golden sign-off status at TSMC, UMC, and Chartered Semiconductor, making Calibre the de-facto industry standard for IC physical verification.

Danny relocated to Shanghai in 2002, taking up a new challenge as General Manager of Mentor Graphics China and established operations in China. Danny built a team of local EDA professionals to service the emerging semiconductor industry in China. Under Danny's leadership, Mentor (Now Siemens EDA)fostered many long term business relationships with system companies, fabless IC design companies, and foundry customers. With his success in growing Mentor's business and market share in China, Danny expanded his role as PacRim Managing Director in 2009 and promoted to Vice President in 2012, and Senior Vice President in 2019. Siemens acquired Mentor Graphics in March, 2017 and he is based in Siemens EDA's.

Mr. Perng has a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Tsinghua University in Chinese Taiwan, and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Nebraska, as well as a MBA degree from the Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon.
