Biography

Dipl.-Ing. Berthold Hellenthal works since 2006 at AUDI AG as a member of the technical development management team. He is responsible for the comprehensive Competence Center Electronics & Semiconductors as well as for the Audi semiconductor strategy, the Progressive Semiconductor Program (PSCP). The Competence Center Electronics & Semiconductor supports all Audi electronic development departments with reviews, evaluation competence, risk analysis and failure analysis. The support is provided along the complete electronic development process from the electronic component choice, component qualification, schematic design, layout, thermal performance, lifetime assessment and validation up to system level.

Before joining Audi Mr. Hellenthal worked as a consultant on electronic development in the automotive industry. Prior he was co-founder and co-CEO of a venture capital financed start-up. He started his career as a consultant on the implementation and application of complex control theories (fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence) in Europe and the US, specifically for the semiconductor industry.

Mr. Hellenthal studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University.
