Dr. Koo is currently the Director of the Smart City Academic-Industry
Research Collaboration Center, Professor of Department of Electronic
Engineering and Institute of Management, University into Taipei University of Marine Technology (TUMT), Taiwan, China. Dr.
Koo received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from National
Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, in 1999. Prior to that, he graduated
from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, in 1990 with M.S.
degrees in mechanical engineering. From 1985 to 2000, he was an
assistant researcher, associate researcher, researcher and project manager
in Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Chu-Tung, Hsinchu.
He joined the Department of Optoelectronic and Electronics Engineering,
MUST in 2007 as an assistant professor, 2010 as an associate professor
and 2014 as a professor. His research interests include semiconductor
processing, TFT-LCD, IC packaging/ testing and circuit simulation
technologies. Dr. Koo has published more than 70 technical papers and
owns more than 40 patents.
