Biography

Donald Lu is the lead analyst for Greater China Technology and Chinese Telco Equity Research. Donald joined the Goldman Sachs San Francisco office in June 2003 and moved to Taiwan in September 2003. He then moved to Beijing Gao Hua Securities Company Limited in 2006, and was named managing director in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Donald covered US semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment stocks at H&Q and JPMorgan for three years in San Francisco. Previously, Donald was an assistant professor at North Shore University Hospital and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he researched radio frequency electronics and signal processing for magnetic resonance imaging. Donald earned a BA in Electrical Engineering from Beijing University in 1982, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2000.
