Dr. Yong Xie is an Associate Professor at Xidian University and a
Visiting Professor at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid
(ICMM), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He received his
Ph.D. through a joint program between Ulm University, Germany, and
Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China, and his
dissertation was awarded the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation of Shaanxi
Province (2015). He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at
Case Western Reserve University (USA) and ICMM-CSIC (Spain). His
research focuses on two-dimensional semiconductor optoelectronic
devices, strain engineering, MEMS-based systems, and the application
of artificial intelligence in materials science. Dr. Xie has authored
numerous publications cited over 1,500 times with an H-index of 23. He
has frequently served on organizing committees of international
conferences and delivered invited talks. His recent work emphasizes
integrating AI with 2D materials and devices, bridging fundamental
research and technological applications.
