Prof. Dr. Shibin Zhang is a Full Professor specializing in Silicon-based Materials and Integrated Devices at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. As the project leader of the National Science and Technology Major Project (Project 06) and a recipient of the National Young Talents Program, he leads cutting-edge research on 5G/6G RF front-end acoustic chip materials and devices, bridging fundamental research to industrial applications. His pioneering work has been showcased at the IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) –in 2020, 2023, and 2024. Notably, his IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques (TMTT) publication was awarded the 2022 IEEE Microwave Prize and maintained Popular Article status for five consecutive years. With a strong IP portfolio, he has filed 92 patents (50 granted), achieving technology transfer for 6 inventions.
