Prof. Jianshi Tang

Prof. Jianshi Tang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Institute of Microelectronics at Tsinghua University, where he graduated with a BS degree in 2008. He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2014. From 2015 to 2019, he worked at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. He has received NT18 "Best Young Scientist Award", IEEE "Best Lightning Talk", and IBM Invention Achievement Awards, etc. His research mainly focuses on emerging memory and neuromorphic computing, carbon nanotube electronics. Prof. Tang has published more than 90 journal articles and conference proceedings, including Nature, Science, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Science Advances, IEDM, ISSCC, etc. His work has been cited over 5000 times, and also included in the list of "Best Papers in Beijing Area 2020". He has also filed more than 60 patents, 16 of which are granted. Prof. Tang is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Neuroscience-Neuromorphic Engineering and serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of Semiconductors. He is an IEEE senior member, and served as Technical/Executive Committee Member for IEEE-NANO, EDTM, CMSE, etc.
