With new subway and bus networks developed for the 2010 Expo, getting around Shanghai is easy and affordable. Metered taxi rides from the Airport to downtown Shanghai cost between US$10 and 20.

Culture and Tourism
Shanghai is one of China's most modern cities. Expo has be held in May 2010 in Shanghai. The nearby Hangzhou and Suzhou are world famous sight seeing cities with parks, West Lake and China teas.
Language
English is a commonly spoken language in Shanghai. With the Expo 2010 and numerous global conventions, English-speaking visitors will find almost no problem communicating.
Currency
The currency of exchange in China is the Renminbi (RMB) or Yuan (Y). The current rate stands at 1 US$ to 6.4 RMB. A street meal costs below US$5. Foreign currency and traveler’s cheques can be changed at the main branches of the Bank of China, the tourist hotels and some department stores.
Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 220V, 50Hz AC throughout China. Major hotels usually provide an 115V outlet for razor.
Weather
March is the raining season in Shanghai. Temperature is usually around 10-15 degree centigrade during daytime.
VISA Application
Persons visiting China, regardless of nationality or intended length of stay, are required to have a visa. Please download below document for additional instructions in obtaining a visa. Please fill out theRequest Form for an Invitation Letter to PRC before January 22, 2016(make copies if necessary) for each person requiring a business entry visa.
