Dr. Chenhao Chu is a Lecturer and Research Scientist at the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET), ETH Zürich, Switzerland. He earned his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, specializing in broadband high-efficiency RF power amplifiers (PAs). His research interests include AI/ML-assisted RFIC design, silicon/III-V circuits co-design for heterogeneous integration, and energy-efficient RF/mm-Wave/sub-THz integrated circuits (ICs).

Dr. Chu has published 32 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles, including 13 first-author papers in prestigious international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques (T-MTT), IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), and Communications Engineering (Nature Portfolio). Two of his first-author IEEE T-MTT papers were recognized among the journal’s “Most Popular and Downloaded Papers (2022–2023).” His honors include the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad (2022) and the First Place Award in the 2022 IEEE MTT-S High-Efficiency Power Amplifier Student Design Competition. Two of his award-winning designs were adopted by Keysight Technologies for internal test-platform development.

Dr. Chu serves the international academic community as an Affiliate Member of the IEEE MTT-S Microwave High-Power Techniques Committee (TC-12), a Vice Chair of the MTT-S Electronic Information Committee (EICo), and a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for top conferences such as the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS). He recently chaired the technical session “AI for Design and Optimization of RFICs and Arrays” at IEEE IMS 2025 in San Francisco, USA.
