个人简介 / Biography Dr. Helge Weman is a professor in nano-electronics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. He received his PhD in semiconductor physics from Linköping University, Sweden with Prof. Bo Monemar as advisor. During his career, he has held various academic positions at e.g. UCSB, NTT, EPFL and IBM Res. Lab Zurich. Since 2005 Weman is leading a research group at NTNU on III-V semiconductor nanowire/graphene hybrid devices for use in optoelectronic applications. He is the coordinator of many national and European projects consisting of various international academic and industrial partners. Weman is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technical Sciences (NTVA) since 2010. Dr. Helge Weman is the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of CrayoNano AS which was established in 2012 as a spin-off from his research activity at NTNU. CrayoNano has today an extensive patent portfolio in the use of graphene as a substrate and transparent electrode in semiconductor device applications. CrayoNano is at present developing a unique UV LED chip using AlGaN nanostructures with integrated graphene electrodes with a goal to disrupt the UV LED industry. |
