Dr. Linyong (Leo) PANG

Dr. Linyong (Leo) Pang used to be the Senior Vice President & General Manager of Computation Lithography and Inspection at Luminescent Technologies (www.luminescent.com), where his role grew from VP Product Marketing, VP Business Development, to VP Marketing and Sales in the last five years.

Before joining Luminescent, he was the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) at Synopsys through the acquisition of Numerical Technologies. He worked at Numerical from 1999 to 2003, where he held positions from Engineering Manager to Product Manager. He was the inventor of i-Virtual Stepper, which was awarded as "best product" by Semiconductor International in 2001.

Before joining Numerical, Leo worked at Acuson Corporation, the largest medical imaging company in North America, as Sr. Software Engineer/Research Scientist and a founding member of Acuson Lab, where he invented and developed "FreeStyle" Extended Field of View Imaging product. He also co-founded China's first online game company (xkx.com.cn) in 2000 at his spare time.

Dr. Pang held 21 patents, 16 more pending, and is an author of 37 publications in the fields of image processing, medical imaging, EDA, and semiconductor. He received a B.S. and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), a M.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Stanford University. He was the President of the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Stanford (ACSSS) in 1996, and currently involved in founding Stanford Chinese Alumni Association.
