Professional Experience Prof. Wu graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1976. In 1987, he obtained his Doctoral Degree from the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He completed postdoctoral research at the University of Texas and the University of California in the United States. He then worked at Intel, SMIC and other companies, engaging in research and development of integrated circuit manufacturing processes. He once served as R&D Director and Vice President of SMIC. In 2020, he founded the School of Micro-Nano Electronics (now the School of Integrated Circuits) at Zhejiang University. He led his team to build the first 12-inch public pilot line in Chinese universities with complete CMOS process capabilities, to support industry-education integrated research and development of mass-production technologies. He was honored as one of the Top Ten Outstanding National Science and Technology Workers in 2013. He has won five provincial and ministerial-level awards, three Second Class Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Class Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award in 2023. |
