Jean-Charles BARBE received the Postgraduate diploma in Material Science and Engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the the Grenoble National Institute of Technology, Grenoble, France, in 1998 and 2001, respectively. In 2002, he joined the Electronics and Information Technology Laboratory of the CEA-LETI, Minatec Campus, Grenoble, as research Engineer where he was mainly involved in multidisciplinary simulation for both microsystems and Microelectronics with a more specific focus on the impact of process steps on device performances. From 2011 to 2017 he was at the head of the simulation and compact modeling team of CEA-LETI, covering simulation from the atomic scale to device scale in order to develop predictive compact models for designers. Since 2019 he is Chief Scientist of the Silicon Components Division.
Jean-Charles BARBE authored or co-authored about 110 papers (conferences and journals) and owns 25 patents related to nanotechnology.
