Xinchun Lu received B.S. and M.S. degrees in materials science and engineering from Jilin University of Technology in 1988 and 1991, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1994. From 1994 to 1996, he was a post-doctoral fellow in the State Key Laboratory of Tribology, Tsinghua University, China. In 1996, he joined Tsinghua University where he is now a Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professor. His research interests include nanotribology, surface engineering, tribology in micro/nanomanufacturing as well as chemical mechanical polishing. He has authored and co-authored more than 200 technical publications/presentations in journals, proceedings, and conferences in the abovementioned areas. He has over 100 patents authorized patents. |
