SEMI reported the global semiconductor material market in 2022 hit a new high at $72.7 billion and increase by 8.9% from $66.8 billion in 2021. Wafer fabrication materials and packaging materials revenues totaled $44.7 billion and $28.0 billion, respectively, in 2022 for year-over-year increases of 10.5% and 6.3%.

There are 33 new semiconductor fabs began construction in 2022 and 28 will begin in 2023. Reginal semiconductor manufacturing emphasis and development also bring enormous opportunity for semiconductor material industry.
