Biography As a graduated electrical doctor engineer, Dr. Ing. Bennini has over 13 years’ national and international experience in different industry sectors within Bosch Group. From 2004 to 2007, he worked in Research and development department as design engineer of inertial sensors for car passengers safety applications in Germany. He then worked 3 years as product manager for sensor application in the consumer electronics industry at Bosch Sensortec GmbH. In 2010, he joined Bosch eBike Systems division as head of product management and business development towards the bicycle industry. Four years later, he took over the role of regional general manager Asia Pacific to develop and lead the regional business unit of Bosch eBike Systems located in Suzhou/China. Since July 2018, he re-joined Bosch Sensortec GmbH as Regional President for Asia Pacific, located in Shanghai/China. Abstract Enhanced IoT Edge by Smart Sensors While IoT solutions deployment surge continuously across diverse business sectors with a wide range of services, new emerging technologies are paving innovative approaches to make IoT implementation more efficient and effective. The huge amount of complex raw data produced by IoT devices is driving the trend towards decentralization of data. Advanced approaches are shifting data processing and analytics, and even some level of decision making to the point of origin - the so called IoT edge.
