Min Zhu, Ph.D., Professor of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT). He earned his Ph. D degree in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from SIMIT at 2014. Then he worked as an associate professor at SIMIT for one year. Since September 2015 to November 2017, supported by the Humboldt Scholarship, he became a postdoctoral researcher in RWTH Aachen University. Since December 2017 to December 2021, he was appointed associate professor of SIMIT as an outstanding talent from overseas. Since January 2021, he was appointed professor of SIMIT.

His researches focus on 3D high-density phase change memory and inherent mechanism. He has achieved fruitful results on single-element switch, phase change materials, and switch/storage mechanism. As first/corresponding author, He has published 25 peer-reviewed papers on Science, Nature Communications (4 papers), Advanced Materials (2 papers) and so on, two of which is ESI highly cited paper. He has obtained 2 authorized US invention patents with 5 authorized China invention patents. He won China's 10 top scientific advances of 2022, National Outstanding Youth Program, the 2020 First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award (3rd), Hundred Talents Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researcher, Shanghai Rising-Star Program, and so on.
