Dr. Libo Gao

Professor,
Nanjing University

Libo Gao joined Nanjing University as a Professor of Physics and a Principal Investigator at Nanjing National Laboratory of Microstructures in May 2015. He received his Ph.D. degree in material sciences from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2011. Then he worked at Graphene Research Center, National University of Singapore, as a Research Fellow for four years. His awards include the first class prize of the Liaoning province natural science award 2015, second prize in China's State Natrual Science Award, and NR45 Young Innovators Award 2021. He published over 50 papers (with over 1,2000 citations), including 3 Nature papers. His research focuses on chemical vapor deposition growth, characterization and application of different kinds of two-dimensional materials, like graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides, superconducting or quantum materials in two dimension.
