Prof. Xiang Chen

Xiang Chen is currently a full Professor at the School of Materials Science & Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST). He also serves as the Assistant Dean of the school and Deputy Director of the Institute of Nano-Optoelectronic Materials. Additionally, he leads a group on two-dimensional (2D) electronic materials and devices. His research areas include 2D semiconductor bioelectronics devices and high-mobility 2D P-type semiconductor materials. Prof. Chen has successfully presided over 7 major research projects funded by NSFC and so on, with a total research fund amounting to 4.3 million yuan. He has also participated in 6 national major research projects, securing a total research funding of 49.42 million yuan. Furthermore, Prof. Chen has published more than 40 SCI papers in renowned journals such as Nat. Commun., Adv Mater., accumulating over 2700 citations with an H-factor of 26. He has applied for 20 national invention patents in both China and South Korea, out of which 12 have been authorized so far. In addition to his academic achievements, Prof. Chen holds various professional positions including Deputy Secretary-General of Jiangsu Provincial Materials Society, member of the Technical Committee at Beijing Branch International Information Display Society (SID), senior member of the Chinese Society for Micron and Nanotechnology, and senior consultant at Shandong Hanqi Technology Co., LTD.
