摘要

Inertial Sensors in AI Applications

MEMS inertial sensors are being used ubiquitously in Internet of Moving Things (IoMT) applications, especially 3-axis accelerometers. Literally anything that moves can use an inertial sensor to make an IoMT device smarter by having motion, context, and location awareness. While it doesn't take AI to figure out if a person is walking, running or swimming, AI can use the large amount of data generated by the sensors to determine patterns that can lead to certain useful decisions for daily life at work or play. With the advancement of AI applications, smart device makers are racing to deliver products and services that can improve people's lives by changing or impacting behavior in a positive way while increasing the value of their products. Exploration of inertial sensor AI applications will lead to more new ideas and innovations that can benefit both consumers and businesses.
